Responsibilities:

• Assist CRO to meet mission statement of bank’s risk management by following and reporting the set-up progress of all three risk divisions: credit, market and operational risk, to ensure their compliance to international best practices. Risk guidelines/handbook, organization structure, strategic development progress, etc have to be timely updated.
• Assist CRO to formulate and review the bank’s business strategies and plans from risk management’s perspective to ensure bank’s interest and shareholders’ value. In which, timely review and analyze trends, opportunities and treats in the market that affect the expansion of bank’s operation.

• Ensure appropriate and up to date reviews of industries and macro-economy, allowing bank to plan ahead and establish reasonable lending directions/objectives. In the meantime, also analyze and inform negative impacts that may lay scar on the bank’s operation. Government policies in general, or updates of SBV’s policies in particular regarding exchange rate and interest rate are given high priority.

Responsibilities

• Quarterly provide macro-economic and banking report bank-wide (in both Vietnamese and English) for internal use and Maybank (ABBANK’s strategic shareholder)’s information. Specifically, concerns are given to updates of fiscal and monetary policies, to extent, degree of impacts that might affect Vietnam’s key macro-indicators. GDP growth, CPI, trade balance, etc are all closely monitored.
• Provide half-yearly industry report (twice a year), including the update of macro view and movement of roughly 30 industries nationwide, to extent, review each industry’s outlook and independently make recommendation on either expansion or mitigation of the lending portfolio.

• Assist Risk Management Committee (RMC) and Management Board to conduct ad-hoc research/report on any matter (banking, macro-economy, industries, etc) that serves the need of bank’s operation. Especially, changes of SBV’s monetary policies and their effects on bank’s oriented strategy.
• Be responsible for the role of interpreter and the translation of materials tabled RMC or any other meetings that has presence of Maybank, and to follow up and get response to any issue that is raised and considered critically by Maybank.

• Coordinate with Management Information System Unit (MIS) to do the extraction, management and performance analysis of the whole system data, reporting to Board of Management and Board of Director.

• Assist Head of Strategic Committee (Dr Nguyen Tri Hieu, standing member of Board of Director, also recognized as a well-known economist in Vietnam) to formulate a master plan for ABBANK from 2011 to 2016 with vision towards 2020. Particularly, be mainly responsible for the write-up of Risk Management Strategy, including Credit Risk, Market risk, and Operational Risk by applying quantitative as well as qualitative approach.
• Partly responsible for the formulation of a technical model assessing roughly 20 banks’ performance based on their balance sheet and P&L account, to extent recommend a growth rate for ABBANK in the next 10 years

Responsibilities

• Manage a Department consisting of 6 people
• Conduct researches on Vietnamese macro-economy, the banking industry, especially the ABBANK’s standing in comparison with key rivals in terms of financial capabilities, development strategy, market share, etc.
• Join with Board of Management (BOM) and Divisions’ Directors develop the bank’s vision & missions, then following by their sub-strategic initiatives as well as key tasks & plans and roadmaps passed down to Divisions and Departments for bank-wide execution. The final agreement has to be presented by the Strategic Planning Department before the Board of Directors (BOD) for final discussion and approval.
• Monitor and timely evaluate the progress of implementing ABBANK’s strategic objectives/initiatives in order to report to the BOM and BOD for immediate actions and adjustments (if any).
• Establish good relationship with the bank’s major shareholders (MAYBANK) for the bank’s future growth and knowledge/technical sharing from the Malaysia’s largest commercial bank. Usually act as the bank’s representative assisting the CEO when meeting with MAYBANK’s experts.
• Quarterly conduct at least one tele-conference class bank-wide on the topic of the bank’s recent achieved goals and targets. Attendees are mostly branches’ directors and Head Office’s managers. Especially, personally give site-visit to key regional branches for the bank’s goals implementation.
• Monthly hold coaching for subordinates on the department’s key tasks and responsibilities for professional development.
• Annually formulate business plan bank-wide in alignment with approved strategic plan, which must be feasible and realizable to ABBANK’s organic strengths.
• Be a coordinator of providing reports externally (report to SBV and others) and internally through the connection of all divisions/department bank-wide.
• Be responsible for the formulation and development of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) model to be applied bank-wide (from the level of BOM downward)
• Be responsible for the research and proposal of new organizational structure, which must in one hand solve the issues related to distribution network and in other hand satisfy the long term growth of ABBANK.
• Assist Director of Strategic Development Division conduct ad-hoc research/report on any matter that serves the need of bank’s strategic development.

Từ 2016 đến hiện nay: Khác tại Founder of IVO DELI (F&B Industry)
Responsibilities:
• Build up the ideas, plans and roadmap of opening IVO DELI restaurant chain expanding from Da Nang to Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh city with key products focusing on: Burger, Pizza and Gelato.
• Personally look for locations and mainly responsible for the restaurant build-up (from business licensing to construction, decoration and installation of machines, furniture, HR recruitment, etc).
• Set up a centralized gelato factory in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh city, then organize its manufacturing process from ingredients purchasing to final product manufacturing/invention.
• Develop the gelato distribution network and franchising from factory to IVO DELI’ branches and other restaurants. Specifically, organize the wholesale team in terms of human resources, sale brochure designing packages, sale commission and revenue monthly/quarterly/yearly target.
• Daily govern the restaurants’ operation system and wholesale channel related to human resources, sale performance, finance, product marketing/designing, and customer services etc.
• Closely work with key suppliers to ensure timely providence of raw materials, semi-finished products in the most efficient way to optimize restaurants’ costs and expenses at highest quality.
• Negotiate and coordinate with other F&B shops/agent/foods delivery channels (Foody, Vietnammm, Grabfood, etc) for sale development, branding expansion and marketing.
• Join in the F&B and other related exhibition for the connection and development of potential partners and suppliers.
• Monthly extract and evaluate restaurants’ and whole sale performance based on key financial indicators.
• Weekly and monthly review restaurants’ and factories’ inventory for products evaluation and raw-material stocking plans.
• Monthly hold coaching for restaurants’ and sale managers/staffs for personal growth and commitments.
• Quarterly work with local authorities for matters related to taxation, food safety licensing, and official product announcement procedures.
