HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT

  • Our Human Resources department consists of a team of strategic HR professionals providing client focused, proactive and effective solutions and services for all RMIT Vietnam staff.

This, in turn, enables University staff to better support the current and future student population at the University. The team shares insights with peers and management and our positive team culture relies on open communication, encouragement, recognition and continuous improvement, to work together and get things done.

THE ROLE

  • The C&B Officer, Compliance is a member of the HR team and primarily responsible for providing employment contract management and people data management support; administering statutory insurance schemes for all employees; and assisting with performing certain researches regarding employment related laws (i.e. covering labour contracts, statutory insurance, work permit/visa, etc.) from time to time and updating the C&B team with regulatory changes that may have impact on the team’s services. The range of duties includes but is not limited to the following key delivery areas.
  • Employment contract management
  • HR system administration
  • Statutory insurance compliance
  • Provision of compliance support to the C&B and HR Services team
  • The position holder will be expected to work collaboratively and proactively with other HR staff to deliver a high quality stakeholder experience.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor degree in Law, Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • At least four years’ experience in a similar position in a large multinational organization (preferably with more than 300 headcounts); prior experience of working with both local and expatriate staff is essential.
  • Good knowledge of employment laws and their practical implementation involved with labour contracts and statutory insurance
  • Strong attention to details; high level of accuracy and confidentiality across all correspondence and administrative documents adhering to the University and departmental standards.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with an ability to prioritise workload to be able to meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to perform legal research; great interest in studying law implication and practices; and willingness to share with the team
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including negotiation, liaison, and effective cross-cultural communication
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility, commitment to teamwork, and a willingness to adapt assignments to meet the University’s needs
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English and Vietnamese).
  • Superior skills in Microsoft office or other relevant HR/IT data software
  • Experience and working knowledge of Work Day is desirable
  • To be eligible for this position you must be a Vietnamese citizen. Applications received from non-Vietnamese candidates will not be considered.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at Upper intermediate level (Linguaskill score 160), equivalent to IELTS (General) 6.0. RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a Linguaskill test to assess your level of English before an appointment is made.
