Retail Operation Director

Purpose:

• To lead the development, implementation, operations excellence of Company Retail Strategy to maximize the retail net profit by driving sales and controlling costs of operations.
• To build and motivate a high performance team through effective leadership and line management to retail team.
• To contribute strategic inputs and added-value development opportunities to Company leadership team and continue strengthen the Company retail leadership position in market.

Job description:

• The overall performance of Retail stores nationwide. Translates the strategic goals into retail operational plans to achieve targeted growth in sales and net profits.
• Identify ambitious growth opportunities and develop the right strategy to achieve the following sales targets (VND)
• Identify areas to constantly improve the bottom line.

Duties:

• Opening new stores and well maintain existing stores
• Identify the strategic locations for new store opening. Ensure all new shop proposals meet the required return on investment submitting to CEO / COO. All new shop locations must be visited to ensure they will meet the proposed budget.
• Set up team to find high traffic location for new stores
• Develop team and efficient process to set up new stores (less than 10 days for one new store)
• Develop team and smooth process to carry out the maintenance work on-time with quality
• Influence and support the retail elements in company annual budget planning, ensure buy-in from operation teams. Review financial data and analysis and provide actionable directions / inputs for execution.
• Store operation improvement
• Develop processes and competitive remuneration policy to constantly improve the productivity and individual sales among store staff
• Develop training program and training team to improve the seamless store operation at store level to improve customer satisfaction
• Develop processes to check inventory and cash to avoid pilferage
• Analyze sales data to identify the right products/right price points for different store location à improve productivity on shelve space.
• Improving in-store image/decoration and atmosphere to draw traffic to store
• Set retail customer service standard and work with Training Manager to provide retail customer service training to the team.

Building team & Training

• Setting up an effective training system including:
  • Setting up the system/ tools for E-learning
  • Training and testing processes
  • Content development
  • Proactively manages and reviews the performance of Regional Supervisors and their regional performance, sets objectives, targets, works with training manager to develop training and development plan for the team.
  • Take a leading role in building strong sales management culture with the operations team; coaching Regional Supervisors; identifying skills and opportunities for development, providing advices and guidance on shop manager issues when needed.
  • Building a strong team to accommodate the fast expansion of Retail stores nationwide.
  • Create added value to Company leadership team
• Internal communication: Works with CEO / CCO to create and communicate the retail strategy, business priorities to other functional heads and business partners. Ensure the system is in place to enable retail team to operate the business in efficient manner.
• Generate future retail cutting edge ideas and constantly maintain up to date market intelligence of competitions and trends to strengthen company leadership position
