JOB OVERVIEW

  • To assist Head of Legal and Compliance to implement the operations of Compliance team in order to contribute to the Company to achieve effectiveness and targets in context with the current legislation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To check and provide warning to the PMC and General Managers on compliance risk of the business innovations of the CFD.
  • Follow up the action plan of non-compliance issues of the CFD
  • Diffuse, instruct and perform as the contact point for responding to the compliance relating issues in the activities of the CFD.
  • Participate in establishing the CFD’s internal policies and procedures to make sure that they conform to the laws.
  • Liaise with government agencies and organizations for CFD compliance in consumer finance activities and anti-money laundering issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments/ sections for the purpose of reporting to government agencies by order of the General Manager.
  • Complete the compliance report to Head of Legal and Compliance.
  • Prepare plan and submit to General Managers for approval and implementation of plan on inspecting the compliance status in activities of the CFD.
  • Be responsible for handling consumer finance regulatory inspection of the State Bank of Vietnam (on scheduled and ad-hoc basis), including proactively guiding and directing Members’ Project Management Committee in preparation for inspection and ensuring to meet all requirements of the authorities satisfactorily and timely.

Qualification & experience

  • University degree in law
  • Knowledge of finance and banking, esp, consumer finance is preferential
  • Ability to conduct independent research and analysis
  • Having good relationship with the authorities is preferential

Practical experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in legal.

Language skills:

  • Fair in English, Vietnamese
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to speak persuasively and convey ideas clearly and concisely
  • An effective listener; allows time to hear and address feedback.
  • Discipline, careful and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at one time and is prepared to alter own work pattern to accommodate change.
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently determine the problem and provide potential solutions.
  • Capable of making decisions under pressure.
  • Maintain excellent time management skills, always working proactively.
