Job Title: Legal Affairs Officer
Department : Finance & Accounting
Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
JOB PURPOSE
The position of Legal Affairs Officer is a high-level management who advises the company concerning legal issues related to its business activity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Providing management with effective legal advice on business issues and company strategies
• Selecting and overseeing the work of outside counsel.
• Drafting and editing complex commercial agreements.
• Ensuring the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Helping prepare briefs, complaints, motions and other court documents (if any )
• Advising the human resources department on employment law, labor and benefit issues
• Drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements such as purchasing agreements, sales contracts; and providing litigation support

1. Working background
• At least 5 years of legal experience at a private and/or an in-house legal department in a manufacturing company, at least 3 years of which are in a similar position.
• Prefer experience managing the legal function of a company and overseeing outside legal counsel.
• Patiently and highly adaptable with multi-cultural working environment.
2. Education and Experience
• Minimum of Basic Law Degree from a nationally/internationally recognised University.
• A Post-graduate degree and/or specialisation in Vietnamese/International Law, Vietnamese/International Trade Law or Vietnamese/International Economic Law or Legislative Drafting are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skill
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of organization and document management
• Ability to effectively manage, supervise and evaluate assigned personnel
• Ability to liaise with government authorities
• Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion, integrity and ethics, business acumen
• Excellent legal and communications skills
• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Good human relation skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English with the public, members of boards and other employees of the Company
• Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment with a working knowledge and the ability to use personal computers and standard word processing programs
