As soon as I initiate my career path as an Paralegal in a local law firm of which 80% clients are foreign individuals and entities, I can identify what I need to pursue without hesitate. In particular, I would like to well spend my youth on devoting to the legal work, brainstorming and “playing" with the law seriously, co-operating, helping other amazing colleagues, lawyers to handle a variety of cases to bring value added to our clients' business, not just doing licensing work. My referred fields are finance, commerce, investment and dispute settlement. IP law is a potential playground which is also attractive to me.
Regarding an ideal workplace, it is a law firm which surrounds its people and clients with positive working ethic and understanding-driven environment. Since a workplace is a nurturing ground for young lawyers to learn and develop their knowledge together with essential skill sets, it is a bless to me to work at a law firm where I can not only immerse myself in the richness of academic knowledge in the law and other specific relevant industries but also interpret the contextual practice behind every legal word in cold papers. That is a beauty of law which is so appealing and inspiring that I can see me doing every-(lawful)-thing to blend in to well assist the firm and get my lessons through work to contemplate that beauty.
After all, when getting more mature in this career, I can see myself, regardless of my position in the firm, lean in to spread a positive and efficient working spirit to my clients, other dear colleagues and newbies. It represents one of my long-term goals in this career which is to become a Partner of a law firm in HCMC. Therefore, I always keep striving for self-improvement and humbleness in every aspect of work and life. Every up and down, every success and failure are of the same valuable asset to me.
